Ski season officially started on Sunday, Oct. 25 with Keystone Ski Resort sneakily opening at 3 pm, a day before Arapahoe Basin. They claimed the title as the first ski resort to open in the country.
This ski season, there’s even more to celebrate. Kindred Resort — the new heart of Keystone is debuting this winter. Situated right at the base of the River Run Gondola, Kindred brings together a luxury slopeside hotel & residences, chef-crafted cuisine, a private club, and a spirit of connection that feels both new and timeless.
In October, the team installed the lockers at The Kindred Club and work accelerated in the restaurants. Lula’s Restaurant was nearly finalized. Named for Lula Myers—a pioneering Keystone settler, beloved teacher, and namesake of the Schoolmarm ski trail—the restaurant honors her legacy of warm gatherings and pioneering hospitality. Lula’s is planned to open in early 2026 within the Kindred Hotel.

Good things are cooking throughout Kindred Resort with Chef Eric Berggren of Goodz Tavern and Kinji Sushi finalizing the signature menu items, including the slow-cooked dishes at Goodz and the specialty rolls and shared plates at Kinji. The construction continues on both of these gondola plaza restaurants, with anticipated opening dates in 2026.

The Kindred Club is getting locked and loaded with the installation of our exclusive member lockers. All your gear could be steps away from the River Run Gondola with valet parking and ski valet. There are still a limited number of Kindred Club memberships available for sale to the general public. Our lifetime non-refundable memberships are almost sold out. We anticipate closing this specific membership opportunity soon. Contact us at [email protected] to learn more about the benefits: valet parking, ski valet, designated slopeside locker, clubhouse, access to the pool and hot tubs, and member-only events.
